Do you really think there is something wrong with me because I care about animals with all of my heart? Do you really think there is something wrong with me because I’m disgusted and sickened by the way animals are treated? Do you really think there is something wrong with me because I care about animals so much that I’ve refused to accept or support their torture and murder and, in turn, have left all animal products and products tested on animals out of my diet and life? Do you really think there is something wrong with me when I educate people on the horrors animals are forced to live with day upon day in the hopes that it will inspire someone to do something about it? Do you really think there is something wrong with me when all I want to do is to end their mistreatment and murder so that they can live a happy, peaceful life as they deserve? Do you really think there is something wrong with me when the thing I want most in life is the end of animal abuse and speciesism?
Because if you think there is something wrong with me because I love animals more than I love anything in this world, then I feel sorry for you for never knowing the kind of love and joy that an animal can bring. I feel sorry for you for never understanding what kindness truly means. I feel sorry for you for never feeling the impact of an open heart. Most of all, I feel sorry for you for having such a closed vision that you are unable to see that all life is precious, no matter the size.
