Anonymous asked: Hi I just wanted to compliment you in your blog which popped up via Google when I was doing some searches re the horrific practice in Spain of making horses walk through bonfires. You explain how it feels to be a vegan so eloquently in your piece of non-fiction. I have been Vegetarian since seeing a slaughter house video at school when I was 12, then as I learnt more I became Vegan at 18. I have been an Animal Rights activist since then and am now 38. Thank you for a great blog xx
Thank you! That means a lot to me since animals are my passion. I can’t believe my blog comes up whenever you searched for things like that. That’s pretty awesome! I just want to make a difference and help those who aren’t vegan understand and see what goes on daily for animals who fall victim to our “needs.” You saw a video of that at school? I had no idea schools showed things like that, but that’s good that they do because people need to at least be aware of what they’re doing. I, too, was somewhere around that age when I went vegetarian and I went vegan at 18! I’ve only been vegan for a mere year now but you have to start somewhere; I honestly always knew I’d go vegan because I still felt awful about eating dairy products. But anyway, us animal rights activists need to stick together to stand up for animals. I know that I can promise that I will until I’m no longer breathing.
